With Windows XP and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 installed on your computer, the following problems might appear after the installation of Service Pack 3 for Windows XP:
  • a large number of damaged records occur in the system registry
  • network cards are not displayed in the Device Manager and in the properties of Network connections
  • the Task manager window is empty and does not contain information about running programs and processes

Solution: Kaspersky Lab experts recommend disabling self-defense of Kaspersky Anti-Virus before installing Service Pack 3 for Windows XP.

After you install Service Pack 3 and restart your computer, enable the product self-defense.

If the solution did not help, contact Kaspersky Lab Technical Support by sending a request via the My Kaspersky service.
