A Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0.4.x plugin for Microsoft Outlook trace file may be required for troubleshooting the plugin related issues.

Please find below the procedure for generating a Microsoft Outlook / Microsoft Outlook Express trace file:

  1. Enable the trace file generation in application GUI.

  2. Start/restart the mail client and reproduce the issue.

  3. Disable the trace file generation in application GUI.

  4. This creates a file of the following type in the %ProgramData% folder:
    • Microsoft Outlook – [Application_version]_[mcou.OUTLOOK.EXE.log]
    • Microsoft Outlook Express – [Application_version]_[mcou.oeplugin.msimn.EXE.log]

You should send the received trace file to the Kaspersky Lab Technical support.
