Changes made to Kaspersky Security Center 10 as compared to Kaspersky Security Center 9.0:

  • The functionality of capturing and deploying OS images has been added.
  • The functionality of centralized installation of third-party software has been added.
  • The functionality of centralized remote installation of updates for operating systems and applications has been added.
  • The functionality Windows Server Update Services has been added for the Administration Server.
  • The functionality of control over licenses has been added and the functionality of centralized applications registry has been expanded.
  • The functionality to manage the hardware registry has been added.
  • The functionality of Network Access Control has been implemented. Access of devices to corporate network can now be controlled using rules and “white” lists of devices.
  • The functionality of getting public access to a client host has been added and the functionality of a remote desktop has been expanded.
  • Servers of mobile devices Exchange ActiveSync and iOS MDM have been implemented.
  • The functionality of sending SMS messages to users of mobile devices has been implemented.
  • The functionality of centralized installation of applications and certificated on controlled mobile devices has been implemented.
  • Support of data encryption for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows has been added.
  • The applications control functionality has been expanded.
  • The functionality of publishing random independent packets on the web server embedded in to the Administration Server has been implemented.
  • The mechanism of automatic assignment of update agents has been implemented.
  • The panel informing about the state of Update Agents has been added.
  • The functionality of filtering in the centralized lists of quarantine, backup and files with delayed processing has been implemented.
  • The functionality of centralized management of the list of users has been added.
  • The functionality to exclude separate subdivisions from search by Active Directory has been added.
  • The functionality to schedule a task start on a specific day of the month has been added.
  • Automatic detection of the distribution period of tasks’ start has been implemented.
  • The functionality to use negation when specifying the search criteria in the sets of computers has been implemented.
  • The functionality of defining an existing empty database as an Administration Server database during installation has been added.
  • The functionality of defining groups as a search scope in the sets of computers has been added.
  • The functionality of specifying in the Update Agent settings what it distributes: installation packages, updates or both has been added.
  • The functionality of searching computers by users’ or sessions’ names and the report about computer users have been added.
  • The graphic utility to manage Network Agent has been implemented.
  • Display of the nearest expiration date on controlled computers in the properties of a license key and in the report about keys has been added.
  • Display of the information about the full data volume saved in the Administration Server database and about volume of events saved in the database has been added.
  • The functionality of defining criteria using the “or” operator when relocating computers to administration groups using a rule has been added.
