Installing Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows via Kaspersky Security Center 10

You can install Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Windows remotely on client hosts using the following remote installation tasks: 



  • Group tasks  

    Tasks created for client hosts in selected administration groups.


  • Tasks for selected hosts

    Tasks created for selected client hosts regardless of their pertinence to administration groups. 

Correct execution of remote installation tasks on client hosts without Network agent installed, requires opening the following ports: TCP 139, TCP 445, UDP 137, UDP 138. This ports are open by default on all domained client hosts. To force them open, run the RipRep.exe utility which has been designed specifically for preparing hosts for remote installation.



Group task

In order to install the application on client hosts remotely via a group task: 

  1. Establish connection with the Administration server which controls the target administration group.
  2. Select the target administration group.
  3. Open the Tasks tab for the group. Click Create task to start the new task wizard. Follow its instructions. Select the Remote application installation task type when prompted. 
  4. Then select the installation package to install on client hosts or create a new one.
  5. Choose whether it is necessary to install the Network agent along with the application. 
  6. In the Installation settings step you can configure the remote installation settings. The Force installation package load section allows to select the delivery method for installation files.
  7. In the User account step, indicate the user account to be used by the remote installation task.
  8. In the final step, select Schedule task run

This will create a remote installation group task for the given application. 

New task is displayed in the administration group, tab Tasks

Task for selected hosts

In order to install the application on client hosts remotely via a task for selected hosts: 

  1. Establish connection with the Administration server which controls the target administration group.
  2. Select the target administration group. 
  3. Open the Tasks for selected computers tab for the group. Click Create task to start the new task wizard. Follow its instructions. Select the Remote application installation task type when prompted. 
  4. Then select the installation package to install on client hosts or create a new one.
  5. Choose whether it is necessary to install the Network agent along with the application. 
  6. In the Installation settings step you can configure the remote installation settings. The Force installation package load section allows to select the delivery method for installation files.
  7. If you have chosen to install the Network agent, you will then be prompted to configure computer relocation rules which will apply after installation completes.
  8. Then choose the target hosts selection method. 
    - Windows network poll. 
    - Manually entered IP addresses, NetBIOS names, or DNS names.
  9. In the User account step, indicate the user account to be used by the remote installation task.
  10. This will create a remote installation group task for the given application. 
  11. New task is displayed in the administration group, tab Tasks for selected computers.
