Can I install remotely an application to the computer under OS Windows Vista using Kaspersky Administration Kit?

  • Yes, you can. But before installation you should set up some parameters of the operation system. On computer added to the domain, enable option Public folder sharing; if a computer is added in the workgroup - enable Password protection sharing feature, activate the Administrator's account and set a password for it.

     

    The computer with OS Windows Vista is included in a domain

    1. Click the Start button, right click Network and select Properties.

    2. Expand Public folder sharing and select Turn on sharing so anyone with network access can open, change and create files.



    3. Click the Apply button.

    4. Run the remote deployment task via Kaspersky Administration Kit.

    The computer with OS Windows Vista is included to the workgroup

    1. Click the Start button, right click Network and select Properties.

    2. Expand Password protection sharing and select Turn on password protection sharing.



    3. Click the Apply button.

    4. Click the Start button, right click Computer and select Manage.

    5. In the left frame expand System Tools>Local Users and Groups>Users. Go to the right frame and double click the account Administrator.

      Clear the Account is disabled fcheckbox and click OK.

       

    6. Right-click on the account Administrator and select Set password.

      Enter and confirm a new password, click OK.

    7. Run the remote deployment task via Kaspersky Administration Kit.
