Concerning to Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 MP1

To update anti-virus database on the computer with the installed Server with no access to Internet, the Kaspersky Lab's experts recommend you do the following:

1. install one more Administration Server (“intermediate” Server) on the computer that has access to internet.

Information If the master Server on which the logical network is built has version 6.0 then the slave Server should have the same version 6.0. Server version 6.0 cannot update from Server 5.0; Server 5.0 can update from Server 6.0.

2. configure on it the Download Server Updates task from the Kaspersky Lab sites;

Warning  In the Server update task configure the list of necessary types of databases and patches to be downloaded.

3. configure update of the master Server from the slave one the following way:

    • in the update task of the master Server (on which the logical network is built) as an update source define the folder Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Administration Kit\Share\Updates (by default) on the “intermediate” Server.

or

    • create the hierarchy of Servers in which intermediate Server will be a master one and the master Server will function as a slave Server and in the update task of the intermediate Server check the box Force update for slave servers (the Settings tab).

Warning Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 does not support update from zip-archives and the retransmission folder of the anti-virus applications!
