On July 12, 2007 Kaspersky Lab announces release of Critical Fix 1 for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Check Point Firewall-1. The full version number is 5.5.161.0.

CHANGES made if compared with build 5.5.145.0:

Fixed

  • Error causing anti-virus kernel freezes has been fixed.

  • Problem with product installation on computers running Japanese and Chinese localized versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system has been resolved.

  • The folder containing application work files is created by default in the All Users profile.

UPGRADE:

Build 5.5.161.0 can be installed over earlier application builds 5.5.114.0 or 5.5.145.0 preserving the product configuration. To do that, you should cancel removal of application registration data during its installation.
