Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange Servers 2000/2003

 
Cannot manage Kaspersky Security 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2000/2003 via Administration Console after installation of Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0.1710. How can I restore management?

  • Kaspersky Administration Kit 8.0
  • Kaspersky Lab informs about detected incompatibility of the Network Agent version 6.0.1427 (and above) with applications Kaspersky Security 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2000/2003. As a result the following error appears in the Event Log: Connector for product ... is not compatible with current version of Network Agent.

    Management of these applications via Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0.1710 can be restored by replacing the connector, which connects the anti-virus application and the Administration Agent 6.0.1710

    In order to replace the connector on the protected Exchange-server:

    1. download the necessary archive with the connecter attached to the Download the connector block (respective on the installed application for protection of the Exchange-server) and unpack it.

    2. Stop service of the Administration Agent.

    3. In the setup folder of the anti-virus application replace the connector with the newly downloaded one:

        • KLEXConnector.dll - for Kaspersky Security 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
        • KLEXAVConnector.dll – for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2000/2003.

    4. Run the reg-file to initialize the connector (the reg-file is archived with the connector):

        • kse.reg - for Kaspersky Security 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
        • kave.reg – for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2000/2003.

    5. Launch service of the Administration Agent.
