The table below shows how users of Kaspersky Lab’s product version 6.0 and 7.0 go to version 2009 and the compatibility of the license keys of Kaspersky Lab’s products versions 6.0, 7.0 and 2009.
Abbreviations:
- KIS 2009 - Kaspersky Internet Security 2009
- KAV 2009 – Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009
- KAV 7.0 - Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0
- KIS 7.0 - Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0
- KAV 6.0 - Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0
- KIS 6.0 - Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0
KIS 2009 migration terms. Migration terms depend on the license validity period. If you have a valid license for products:
- KIS 6.0, KIS 7.0 – You can use your current activation code (license key) to migrate to the later version;
- KAV 6.0, KAV 7.0 – You should purchase license renewal with discount.
If the license for product KAV 7/KIS 7.0/KAV 6.0/KIS 6.0 has expired, you should purchase license renewal for KIS 2009 with a discount in E-Store or by Kaspersky Lab’s partners.
KAV 2009 migration terms. Migration terms depend on the license validity period. If you have a valid license for products:
- KAV 6.0, KAV 7.0 - You can use your current activation code (license key) to migrate to the later version;
- KIS 6.0, KIS 7.0 - You should purchase license renewal with discount.
If the license for product KAV 7/KIS 7.0/KAV 6.0/KIS 6.0 has expired, you should purchase license renewal for KAV 2009 with a discount in E-Store or by Kaspersky Lab’s partners.
With one of the following products installed on your PC:
- Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 Personal,
- Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 Personal Pro,
- Kaspersky Personal Security Suite 1.0,
- Kaspersky Anti-Hacker 1.8 - 1.9,
you cannot migrate to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 with the currently installed key file as the license keys of the above mentioned products are incompatible with Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2009.
Customers of version 5.0 who would like to go to version 2009 should get a new activation code by contacting Kaspersky Lab Sales Department via onlinesales@kaspersky.com. The following data should be given in the request:
- full name of the purchased product
- an attached key file
- registration number of the tear-off receipt of the license agreement
- copy of the payment receipt with the order number if the product was purchased in E-Store
- date and place of the product purchase
