1. Questions concerning registration in My Kaspersky Account
01. What is My Kaspersky Account? Why do I need it?
My Kaspersky Account is the service which allows you to:
- manage your requests to Virus Lab and Technical Support Service
- manage your activation codes and change your personal data (this is required to create requests to Technical Support Service)
- subscribe to news delivery
- choose online courses which help you to protect your computer effectively from different types of threats using Kaspersky Lab products

02. Why do I need an account in My Kaspersky Account, if I have already registered a Personal Cabinet account?
My Kaspersky Account is our new service for making support requests and activation code recovery easy. If you are registered in My Kaspersky Account, you can use not only new options, but also all the options from the Personal Cabinet. It is recommended to create an account in My Kaspersky Account even if you are registered in Personal Cabinet, because the Personal Cabinet service will be closed in the future. You can enter your account in My Kaspersky Account entering your registered e-mail and password on the main page of the service which you can open from the interface of a Kaspersky Lab product version 2010 or using the address https://my.kaspersky.com.

03. How to open the My Kaspersky Account page?
You can open the My Kaspersky Account page using one of the following methods:
- use the address https://my.kaspersky.com
- from a Kaspersky Lab product version 2010 interface by clicking the link My Kaspersky Account in the left lower corner of the main application window:

04. How to register in My Kaspersky Account?
In order to use My Kaspersky Account, you need to register for it. The registration process includes two steps:
- creating an account
- activating an account
In order to register a new account in My Kaspersky Account, click the link My Kaspersky Account in the main window of a Kaspersky Lab product version 2010 or open the page https://my.kaspersky.com in your browser.
In order to start the registration process, click the link Register in My Kaspersky Account or the link Registration in My Kaspersky Account in the menu to the left.

In order to create a new account, you need to fill in the registration form:
- enter Email. Make sure the necessary information has been entered correctly or the registration will not be available.
- enter Password. You are recommended to use numbers, symbols and letters of different cases.
- to exclude mistyping enter your password again in the Confirm password field
- enter numbers and letters from the picture to prevent automatic registration
- click the Apply button

You will not be able to enter My Kaspersky Account immediately after you registered. You need to activate your account. In order to finish the registration, click the link in the message which was sent to your email.

If you do not activate your account in 5 days from the day of creating your account, then your registration data will be deleted from the server. To register in My Kaspersky Account, you will need to create a new account.
When you click the link, the page with your personal information will open. Fill in the suggested fields:
- Name or nickname
- Country
- City
- Address
- Telephone
Also you can provide the company information:
- Company
- Address
- E-mail address of company's administrator
After you filled in the fields containing your contact information, enter your password you entered during account creation and then click the Apply button to save the changes:

After the registration you will enter My Kaspersky Account.

05. I have lost my password to enter My Kaspersky Account. What should I do?
If you have lost your password to enter My Kaspersky Account for any reason, perform the following actions:
- enter the My Kaspersky Account main page
- click the link Forgot password? next to the Password field:

In order to receive a message with your password enter in the e-mail field the e-mail address you entered during the registration in My Kaspersky Account and click the Send Password button:

Your password to enter My Kaspersky Account will be sent to the specified e-mail address.

06. Can I change my personal data in My Kaspersky Account?
You can enter and edit your personal information which you specified during the registration in My Kaspersky Account. In order to edit your personal information in customer profile, select from the menu the item Customer profile in the Manage Your personal data submenu:

07. How to change my e-mail to enter My Kaspersky Account?
In order to change your e-mail address, enter My Kaspersky Account and select from the menu the item Change e-mail to enter My Kaspersky Account in the Manage Your personal data submenu:

Enter a new e-mail in the Email field and click the Apply button to save changes:

A message will be sent to the new e-mail address. You need to click the link from the message to enter My Kaspersky Account and confirm the changes.

08. How to change my password to enter My Kaspersky Account?
You can change your password to enter My Kaspersky Account if it is required. In order to change the password, enter My Kaspersky Account and select the Change password item from the submenu Manage Your personal data:

In the corresponding fields enter your current password and a new password (a new password is entered in two corresponding fields to exclude mistyping). In order to confirm the changes click the button Save the new password:

3. Questions concerning to managing activation codes in My Kaspersky Account
09. What is an activation code? How can I get it?
An activation code is a unique set of characters that comes in 4 blocks, separated by a hyphen (-). Each block comprises of 5 characters which can be a combination of letters and numbers, which comes to a total of 20 characters. An activation code is required to activate a Kaspersky Lab product.
The activation code for all box versions or products bought from retail stores can be found printed on the CD sleeve. European box products have the code on the Quick Start Guide which is included in the box.
If you have purchased Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 or Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 via E-Store, the activation code will be sent to you via e-mail you have specified when making the order.

10. How to add a new activation code to My Kaspersky Account?
You can add an activation code for a Kaspersky Lab product in use to My Kaspersky Account. It will allow you creating and sending requests to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support.
Activation codes added to My Kaspersky Account should be valid. Expired or "blacklisted" activation codes cannot be added to My Kaspersky Account.
In order to add a new activation code perform the following actions:
- enter My Kaspersky Account
- in the menu select Add a new activation code in the submenu Manage activation codes:

- on the Add a new activation code tab in the corresponding field enter an activation code you would like to add to My Kaspersky Account and click the Apply button:

- after you have successfully add an activation code to My Kaspersky Account, you can see the list of registered activation codes by clicking the link Go to the list of registered activation codes:

11. How to remove an activation code from My Kaspersky Account?
On the Manage activation codes tab you can find the list of registered activation codes, the activation date and the product for which the activation code is assigned.
Also on the tab you can remove your activation code. It can be required if your activation code has expired or you have given your product with your activation code to friends or relatives. In order a new user can add that activation code to My Kaspersky Account, you need to remove it from your account.
If you have bought the activation code for two or more computers, then the same activation code can be added to the particular number of accounts corresponding to the number of computers for which the activation code can be used according to the license.
In order to remove your activation code from My Kaspersky Account, click the Remove button on the Manage activation codes tab in the Additional information column next to the activation code you would like to remove:

12. How to create a request to Technical Support Service?
In order to create a request to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support Service, perform the following actions:
- enter My Kaspersky Account
- select the item Send request to Kaspersky Lab support team from the Manage and submit Your requests submenu:

- on the tab Send request to Kaspersky Lab support team click the submit a request button:

On this step you need to choose the request type. You can select one of the following types:

- General question. Choose this type if your request is not connected with one of the request types
- Application problem. Choose this type if an installed product works incorrectly and if other applications installed on your computer work incorrectly, but they were working normally before you installed a Kaspersky Lab product
- Key problem / License expiration. Choose this type if you have lost your key file / activation code or a medium with your key file is damaged, or if you want to renew your license for your Kaspersky Lab product
- Suggestions for future versions. Choose this type if you have suggestions for future versions of a Kaspersky Lab product installed on your computer
- Virus disinfection. Choose this type if your computer with a Kaspersky Lab product installed on it is infected by an unknown virus or you cannot disinfect or delete a virus
- AV-bases Updates problem. Choose this type if you cannot update anti-virus databases (threat signatures) or an error appears during the update process
- Pre-sale question. Choose this type if you want to buy a commercial license for a Kaspersky Lab product
- Problems with Setup / Remove application. Choose this type if errors appear during the process of installing / removing a Kaspersky Lab product or the process of installing / removing a Kaspersky Lab product undergoes incorrectly.
Choose the required request type and click the Next button.

On this step you need to choose a Kaspersky Lab product you use and enter the number from the picture to protect the request from being sent automatically:

Choose your Kaspersky Lab product, enter the number you see in the picture and click the Next button.

On this step you need to fill in the description field. You need to enter the following information:
Requests that do not correspond by their content to the request type will not be processed by Kaspersky Lab’s experts!
You can also upload files on the Kaspersky Lab’s server by clicking the buttons via Web-form or by FTP. Use this option if you have the files which would help to resolve the question problems. For example, if an activation code was lost, but you have the copy of the cache-memo verifying that the license has been paid in digital form, the copy should be uploaded on the server.
Via Web-form you can upload a file with a maximum size of 2 MB. If you have a file of a larger volume it should be uploaded by FTP. You can get the FTP link for your request by providing a number of your request in the following line ftp://beta.kaspersky-labs.com/<request number>.

Fill in the necessary fields and click the Next button.

On this step you should define your operating system and the full version number of your Kaspersky Lab product.
In the section Upload GetSystemInfo report you can create and send a report of the GetSystemInfo utility. This utility creates and saves a detailed report about your computer to a file. This report is needed by Kaspersky Lab Technical Support experts for most request types:

Fill in the necessary fields and click the Next button.

On this step you should check the data you have entered. Click the Back button if you wish to correct / add the given information. Click the button Submit request if the entered data are correct.

Once the request is submitted, your request number is displayed. All further contacts with Kaspersky Lab Technical Support experts will be made via My Kaspersky Account.
