Applies to Kaspersky KryptoStorage
You can decrypt a protected local disk or removable device using Kaspersky KryptoStorage. The decryption is required in some cases, for example, if you need to format a protected volume on which the file iwcs.bin is stored. If you interrupt the decryption for some reason, some data remains protected.
In order to resume the decryption process in Kaspersky KryptoStorage, perform the following actions:
- Click Start in the left lower corner of the screen.
- Click My computer from the menu that will open.
- in the My Computer window select the required object which is partially decrypted.
- If the object is detached, attach it (you cannot attach or detach a system and/or a boot disk).
- Right-click the selected object.
- From the opened context menu select Kaspersky KryptoStorage - Continue volume decryption.
- In the Enter user password window enter the Password to access the protected object.
- Click OK.

The decryption process resumes. The protected disk (removable device) remains attached and you can continue using it.
