Upon creation of a new account, a password should be created. In My Password Manager a special tool – Password Generator – automatically generates passwords.

To use Password generator when creating a new account in an application / on a website, perform the following actions:

• open the context menu of Kaspersky Password Manager and select Add Account. 
• enter the user name on the tab Login information 
• in order to automatically generate a password click the link Generate password 
• in the Password generator window, specify the number of symbols in the password in the Password length field (specify not less than 8) 
• if necessary, you can specify additional settings for Password generator under Additional by checking / unchecking the box next to the required settings (use uppercase letters A-Z, use lowercase letters a-z, use digits 0-9, use special symbols, exclude similar symbols). The more boxes you check, the stronger your password will be.
• check the By default box, to save the specified settings for future passwords. Depending on the selected settings My Password Manager calculates the password strength of the generated password and displays it in the Password strength scale. 
• click Generate. The generated password is displayed in the Password field and is automatically stored in clipboard.
• to view the generated password, check the box Show password. 
• copy the password to clipboard by clicking the Copy button, then enter the password in the password input field in the application/on the web page by pressing CTRL+V. The generated password is stored in clipboard for a specified time period before being deleted. That is why if you exceeded this time period and did not enter the password into the password input, then the combination of CTRL+V will not work and the password will not be input into the form. In order to re-copy the password in the clipboard, click the Copy button.

To set the time to delete passwords from the clipboard, right-click My Password Manager > in the context menu select Settings > General > Clipboard.

• to finish creation of an account, click OK
• to close the Password Generator window, click Close in the right lower corner.

Another way to open Password Generator is to right-click My Password Manager and to select Password Generator.
