Virus Bulletin (VB 100%) Certification

In February 2007 Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP2 successfully passed certification tests conducted by AV-Comparatives on Windows Vista operating system and was awarded “VB 100%” certification.

Kaspersky Labs successfully maintains its prestigious Checkmark certification awarded by West Coast Labs, an independent scientific research center. The Checkmark certificate attests that Kaspersky Anti-Virus passed all required tests, measuring its ability to combat malicious programs with 100% effectiveness.

“Virus Bulletin” (http://www.virusbtn.com) regularly conducts anti-virus software attesting. In order to display the VB 100% logo, an anti-virus product must detect all viruses from the “WildList” (http://www.wildlist.org) which helps to show objectively if the anti-virus software is reliable.

Intel Centrino Duo support

This logotype means Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 supports Intel Centrino Duo technologies for mobile PC’s: it can change its working mode depending on the notebook battery charge.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus has successfully passed Anti-Virus Level 2 and demonstrated 100% effectiveness in disinfecting “Wildlist” malicious programs thus showing product capability to recover the contents of the infected files and disc boot sectors to their original state and saving their initial functionality.



Checkmark Trojan Certification

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 successfully passed certification tests conducted by research center West Coast Labs, confirming a high quality of programming.

Checkmark certification attests to the fact that software and hardware security systems meet stringent quality standards. The independent test laboratory of West Coast Labs, a British scientific research centre, determines criteria and carries out testing.

The product has successfully passed Trojan Checkmark level and demonstrated detection of all trojans from West Coast Labs test suite.

Checkmark Anti-Spyware Desktop Certification

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 successfully passed certification tests conducted by research center West Coast Labs, confirming a high quality of programming and ability to withstand the latest popular Spyware technology.

For a company to be certified to the Spyware Checkmark, the product must be able to detect Trojans, Key-Loggers, Cookies and other assorted Malware in the West Coast Labs Spyware test suite. The product should not cause any false alarms (based on testing against the West Coast Labs alarm test suite). Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 successfully passed testing and registered satisfying results.
