In some cases after uninstallation of a BitDefender product, system registry may contain remains of the product. Therefore, installation of a Kaspersky Lab product may stop with an error. To fully uninstall the product, do the following:
When you uninstall the third-party product from the computer using Microsoft Windows tools, the Program Files folder may contain remains of previous antivirus product versions. If the folder contains folders or files of antivirus applications, delete them and then
try to install your Kaspersky Lab product once again.
Try to install your Kaspersky Lab product once again.
If you are sure you fully removed the BitDefender software, but installation of a Kaspersky Lab product still fails, then create a request to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support via the My Kaspersky portal. Attach a report of the Getsysteminfo tool to your request, give detailed description of the problem and explain the steps to reproduce the problem.
