In some cases, to detect and eliminate an issue with a Kaspersky Lab product, our Tech Support engineers may need a dump file of a single process. You can get a dump file for any process loaded into the RAM, by using Windows Task Manager.

To get a dump file:

  1. Open the Charms Bar by moving your mouse to the upper-left or bottom-left corner of the screen (or use the keyboard shortcut Windows + C). Click the Search icon.

  1. In the search string, type Task manager and press Enter or click the utility's name that will display on your left.

  1. On the Processes tab of the Task Manager window, right-click the process whose dump file you want to get. Select Create dump file in the context menu.

  1. Wait while the dump file is being written.

  1. Save the path given in the Dumping process dialog box once the process has been completed.
  2. Click OK.

  1. Close Task Manager.
