In rare cases, installation or removal of a Kaspersky Lab product can be interrupted, which causes incomplete installation or removal. This can result in incorrect functioning of the keyboard or the mouse after the computer restarts; please allow a couple of minutes for the problem to disappear.
If the error remains, restart your computer again.
If it did not help, use the instruction below to eliminate the problem.
If you do not have a product CD, you can use another computer to download the Kaspersky Rescue Disk from our website and put it on a burnable CD or USB Flash Drive. Not all systems can boot off of USB Flash Drives, particularly older computers.
After the disks are mounted (made accessible), the Kaspersky Rescue Disk scan program will open. Here you should see drive letters for each hard disk in the computer. By default, C: is your primary drive.
If you do not see any drive letters listed, it is possible the Kaspersky Rescue Disk does not recognize your hard disk controller. Although the Rescue Disk is updated regularly, not all computer component makers provide the drivers needed. You will need to use a Windows System Repair Disc created on the same version of Windows as the affected system.
Warning! Be very careful, changes in the Registry can result in unsolvable OS problems.
Technical Note: The KL drivers listed may differ depending on the product.
Editing the Registry incorrectly can lead to unrecoverable system problems. Proceed carefully.
There are many UpperFilters, but first one does not contain a Kaspersky entry. Looking for ones that start with KL. The two files are klmouflt and klkbdflt.
