Concerning to Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X)

The Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X) distributive includes not only the installation tool, but also the uninstallation tool. You can start standart installation, then by default the following components will be installed:

  • Virus Scan
  • File Anti-Virus
  • Finder Contextual Menu

Or you can select the components to be installed.

Information

The File Scan component is always installed.

 

In order to choose the components of Kaspersky Anti-Virus to be installed, perfrom the following actions:

  • open the Kaspersky Anti-Virus file with the extension *.dmg:

or launch the distributive volume:

 

  • in the Kaspersky Anti-Virus window select Kaspersky Anti-Virus and double-click it:

 

 

  • in the Introduction window click the Continue button in order to start the installation process:

 

 

  • in the Read me window review the main Kaspersky Anti-Virus functions and the system requirements
  • to continue click the Continue button:

 

 

  • in the License window read carefully the license agreement to exclude disputable questions connected to the product use. To continue click the Continue button:

 

 

  • to confirm that you agree to the terms of the license agreement click the Agree button:

 

 

  • in the Installation Type window click the Customize button to open the Custom Install window:

 

 

  • in the Custom Install window you can check the following components to install:
    • File Anti-Virus. The File Anti-Virus component will be installed. The component provides real-time protection
    • Finder Contextual Menu. The component allows to scan for viruses files and folders which are displayed in Finder. File or folder scan task is launched from the contextual menu of an object.
  • click the Install button to start the installation:

 

 

  • enter the name and the password of the administrator account to confirm the Kaspersky Anti-Virus installation
  • click the OK button:

 

 

  • wait until the installation process is completed
  • in the Summary window the information about the successfully installed application will appear
  • to close the installation window click the Close button:
