Quarantine is a special storage area that holds objects potentially infected with viruses.
Potentially infected objects are objects that are suspected of being infected with viruses or modifications of them.
By default quarantine is scanned after each anti-virus database update. To disable scan of the quarantine, do the following:
open the main application window
click the Settings button > select Update
in the right part of the window click the Settings button
go to the Additional tab
clear the box Rescan quarantine
click OK to close each window
minimize the main application window
The dialog windows for Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 are the same but with corresponding product names and the number of Protection components
