How to disable Quarantine scan in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009\Kaspersky Internet Security 2009

  • Quarantine is a special storage area that holds objects potentially infected with viruses.

    Potentially infected objects are objects that are suspected of being infected with viruses or modifications of them.

    By default quarantine is scanned after each anti-virus database update. To disable scan of the quarantine, do the following: 

    • open the main application window 
    • click the Settings button > select Update 
    • in the right part of the window click the Settings button 
    • go to the Additional tab 
    • clear the box Rescan quarantine 
    • click OK to close each window 
    • minimize the main application window

     

     

    Information The dialog windows for Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 are the same but with corresponding product names and the number of Protection components
