Concerning to Kaspersky Internet Security 2009

NOTE: The Anti-Spam databases of Kaspersky Labs product versions 6.0 and 7.0 are compatible with the Anti-Spam databases of Kaspersky Labs products version 2009.

If Kaspersky Labs product version 2009 is installed on your computer and during its work the Anti-Spam component was trained to filter mails correctly, then in order to copy the Anti-Spam databases on another computer, do the following:

  • copy the file antispam.sfdb from the computer with the installed program, onto the computer on which you are going to install the program, from the following folder:
    • for Windows XP it is the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP8\Data
    • for Windows Vista it is the folder C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP8\Data
  • disable the program self-defense for which you are going to install the Anti-Spam databases:
    • open the main application window
    • click the Settings button
    • in the left part of the window click Options
    • in the right part of the window clear the box for the option Enable Self-Defense
    • click OK

  • minimize the main application window
  • unload the program from the RAM
  • copy the files into the corresponding folder
  • run the program
  • enable program self-defense
