Concerning to Kaspersky Internet Security 2009

This tool is designed for gathering and analysis of the information related to the network activities which are transferred/ accepted by your computer (the conventional name of such instrument is sniffer). After start Network Package Analysis intercepts all packages and allows viewing their contents. A great amount of information gathered by Network Package Analysis hinders its processing and analysis. To facilitate information analysis you can use filtering by source and destination addresses of the packets, and filtering packets by transfer protocol.

Information The Network Package Analysis tool is designed to be used by experienced users knowledgeable in the network and network protocol building principles.

By default Network package analysis is disabled in Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. To enable/disable the plug-in, do the following: 

  • Open the product main window 
  • Click the Settings button 
  • In the left part of the window select the Network menu 
  • In the right part of the window in the Network package analysis section check/ clear the box Show “Network package analysis” monitor 
  • Click OK 
  • Minimize the main application window
