Concerning to:
  • Kaspersky Internet Security 2009
  • Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 MP1 (build 7.0.1.325)
  • The Parental Control component from Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0/2009 was initially developed for home use. In order to protect home users, especially children, from offensive information, a wide range of sites with any erotic or porn content are forbidden or blocked. To erotic and porn sites refer:

    • sites which publish any erotic or pornographic photo or video material;
    • sites which publish any erotic or pornographic stories, etc (i.e. text materials);
    • sites which discuss coitus and other sexual relationship (forums, blogs, etc)
    • sites with the content which corresponds to any non-standard sexual relations, or any other sexual practices, for example, sadomasochism.

    It should be noted that sites containing any illustrations and video material which show human genitals or coitus, texts which anyhow describe coitus or genitals are blocked. Photo banks, electronic dictionaries, encyclopedias and medical sites, i.e. even sites of the informational character also refer to erotic or porn sites.

    As already mentioned main consumers of Kaspersky Internet Security are home users, hence tight restrictions to the site content. Nevertheless if a user wants to get acknowledged with the content of a specific site he has the right to pause work of the Parental control component and accept the risks connected with viewing specific content.

    In case of corporate and business users administrator of Kaspersky Lab products is responsible for control over access to sites with promiscuous content.
