To migrate from Kaspersky Internet Security version 7.0 to Kaspersky internet Security 2009 please, follow these steps:

1. Download the installation file of Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 on your PC.
2. Make sure your license is still valid, if not, please renew it before migrating.
3. Install Kaspersky Internet Security 2009.
   

1. License Renewal

Step 1.1: Run Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0. You can do it by double clicking on K icon in the right bottom corner near the clock:

Or simply press Start -> All Programs -> Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 -> Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0

Step 1.2: You will see Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 main window:

Click the Activation tab in the left bottom corner.

Step 1.3: Activation tab:

Click Renew key.

Step 1.4: A page with the following content will be opened in your browser:

Find your product and select the appropriate options for your license (Users, Years) and then click “Buy Now”. After that you will be redirected to your Shopping Cart. Follow the instructions and make your purchase until the end. After successful purchase you will get an email with activation code for Kaspersky Internet Security 2009.

2. Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 installation

Step 2.1: Run the installation file downloaded from the Kaspersky website. You will see the following dialog window:

Click Next to continue.

Step 2.2: Please read the license agreement and choose “I accept the terms of the license agreement”:

Click Next to continue.

Step 2.3: Please select the installation type that best suits your needs:
Express installation - full program installation with default settings.
Custom installation - installation with the possibility to choose which program features to install.
In most cases we recommend you to click on the “Express installation” icon to continue installation.

Step 2.4: Please confirm that you are ready to install Kaspersky Internet Security 2009:

Click Install to begin the installation.

Step 2.5: Installation in progress, please wait:

Step 2.6: Installation complete:

Click Next to continue.

Please note that the next “Kaspersky Internet Security Configuration Wizard“ window may not appear immediately but after some seconds. Please wait.

Step 2.7: Kaspersky Internet Security Configuration Wizard:

Click Next to continue.

If your Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 activation code is still valid, please ignore steps 2.8-2.10.

Step 2.8: Activate your license.

The computer on which you want to activate Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 using the activation code should be connected to the Internet.

Click Activate online.

Step 2.9: Activate online. You will need to copy/paste your activation code from the email that you received after a purchase. At this step your computer should be connected to the internet.

Click Next to continue.

Step 2.10: Registration in Personal Cabinet. Please fill in the necessary information:

The activation window to enter your personal data is displayed only if the application is activated for the first time and this activation code has never been used before.

Click Continue to proceed registration.

Step 2.11: Application activation. After a successful online activation you will see your license information:

Click Next to continue.

Step 2.12: After the activation of Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 the Configuration Wizard will provide System analysis. Please wait.

Step 2.13: Feedback. The Setup Wizard suggests taking part in the Kaspersky Security Network system. This system allows automatically sending the information about infected, suspicious objects on your computer as well as collecting statistics about downloaded and started applications. This information is processed by Kaspersky Lab’s experts and allows reacting to new types of threats on your computer more operative thus improving quality of our products.

Click Next to continue.

Click Yes, if you agree to participate in Kaspersky Security Network.

Step 2.14: Finishing the configuration of Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. You must restart your computer to complete the installation. 
 

Click Finish to end the installation.
