Using computer often involves situations when it is necessary to enter your personal data or username and password: when registering with internet sites, using online stores, etc. Normally all data are entered using the usual keyboard. In this case there is a danger of interception confidential information using keyloggers - programs that register keystrokes - or hardware interceptors. This information is further transferred to a hacker/cyber criminal via the Internet.
Virtual keyboard – a special service embedded into Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 - allows preventing interception of data entered from the keyboard. Virtual keyboard can be used in any office application to enter text and on any Internet resource to enter confidential data (login, password, account number, etc).
However you cannot enter any information into the interface of Kaspersky Lab’s product version 2009 from the Virtual keyboard (This is a self-defense peculiarity). If you need to add any data to the program interface – to add an exclusion rule for a special file in the Trusted zone – it is recommended to use a usual keyboard.
