Concerning Kaspersky Lab's products version 2009, purchased via subscription service of Internet Service Provider
The activation error described in the article can occur only in cases if:
- the application was purchased via the subscription service of your Internet provider or subscription service of a retail store.
- a Kaspersky Lab product and Kaspersky Download Manager is installed and in use on your computer.
The causes of the error might be the following:
- Your subscription has expired or was suspended. You may be trying to renew the subscription status by clicking on “Renew subscription status”, but no updated subscription key is available when your subscription expired or was suspended.
- You have a valid, non-expired subscription and are trying to check your subscription status (just to be on the safe side).
All changes in subscription status are made by issuing an updated subscription key which is automatically managed for you. Because you are using an activation code for your Kaspersky Lab software that is provided using a subscription based payment system, your activation code is managed by your subscription provider. The error message that appears implies there have been no changes in your subscription and no updated subscription key is required. In this case the error message should be interpreted as “No changes have been made in your subscription. Try to check your subscription status later”.
If your Kaspersky Lab software version 2009 indicates that it is not activated and you would like to continue use of the software or need help with any subscription questions, please contact your subscription provider for more information.
