How to relocate the Anti-Spam databases from one computer to another in Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0

Concerning to Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 (all builds)

Information The Anti-Spam databases of Kaspersky Labs product version 6.0 are compatible with the Anti-Spam databases of Kaspersky Labs products version 7.0

If Kaspersky Labs product version 7.0 is installed on your computer and during its work the Anti-Spam component was trained to filter mails correctly, then in order to copy the Anti-Spam databases on another computer, do the following: 

  • copy the file antispam.sfdb from the computer with the installed program, onto the computer on which you are going to install the program, from the following folder: 
    • for Windows 2000\XP it is the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP7\Data 
    • for Windows Vista it is the folder C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP7\Data 
  • disable the program self-defense for which you are going to install the Anti-Spam databases: 
    • click the Settings button 
    • in the left part of the window click Service
    • in the right part of the window clear the box for the option Enable Self-Defense 
    • click OK 
    • minimize the main application window 

 

  • unload the program from the RAM 
  • copy the files into the corresponding folder 
  • run the program 
  • enable program self-defense
