Possible problems when copying files from a Windows Vista-based computer with Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0/7.0 installed to another computer

Concerning to:
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0/7.0/2009 (all builds)
  • Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0/7.0/2009 (all builds)
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations (all builds)
  • When you try to copy a large amount of files (more than 16, 000) from a Windows Vista-based computer with Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0 or 7.0 installed and started to another computer by using Windows Explorer, you may receive the following error message:

    • Out of memory. There is not enough memory to complete this operation.

    This problem occurs because of a memory leak in the Windows OLE component. This memory leak is triggered by the way that Windows Explorer deals with the extended attributes of the files.

    To resolve this problem, download and install Hotfix for Windows Vista from: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942435/en-us
