Concerning to Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 (all builds)

A Profile is a set of rules that control user access to certain websites. There are three default preinstalled profiles:

  • Child (this profile is the default)
  • Teenager (this profile is disabled by default till the password is set)
  • Parent

An optimized set of rules has been developed for each preinstalled profile, taking into account age, experience, and other group characteristics. The Child profile has the greatest restrictions, whereas the Parent profile has none. Preinstalled profiles may not be deleted but Child and Teenager may be modified at user discretion.

Following installation, the Child profile is used by default for all accounts which have not been assigned a profile.

By default the Parental control component is disabled. In order to enable the component and to change the profile, do the following:

  • Open the application window
  • click the Settings button
  • select Parental Control under Protection
  • in the right part of the window check the box Enable Parental Control
  • choose the necessary profile
  • click OK
  • in the open dialog window click OK to confirm
  • minimize the main application window

Information The dialog windows of Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 are the same but with the corresponding product names and the number of Protection components.
