Concerning to:
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 (all builds)
  • Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 (all builds)
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations MP3 (version 6.0.3.830)
  • A new option has been added to Kaspersky Labs products version 6.0/7.0 – the option to automatically send system dumps to Kaspersky Labs developers for detailed investigation. The dump is generated and sent to Kaspersky Labs developers automatically once a failure in the work of a program occurs.

Upload of a system dump onto Kaspersky Labs’ servers does not result in automatic creation of a request to Kaspersky Labs Technical Support; thus the user will not be answered and info about the program crash will be dealt by the developers one-sidedly without a reply to the user.

If you would like to get a detailed description of a program failure and further recommendations how to resolve such situations, create a request to the Technical Support via the HelpDesk web-form. Add the following data to the request:

    • program failure dump:
      • for Windows Vista the dump is automatically saved to the folder C:\ProgramData\Kaspersky Lab\AVP7
      • for Windows XP the dump is automatically saved to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP7
      • for Windows 2000 the dump is automatically saved to the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINNT\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP7

InformationFor Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations MP3 the path to the folder is almost the same, the only difference is the folder AVP6 is used instead of the folder AVP7.

    • report of the GetsystemInfo utility
    • detailed description of what has happened on your computer
