Description: when trying to open the Administration Console an error occurs opening the file C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Administration Kit\CS Admin Kit.msc (default path).
Reinstallation of Administration Console will not rectify the problem.
Reason: sometimes Microsoft Management Console (particularly when rolling back version 3.0 to an earlier version of MMC) does not change the file CS Admin Kit.msc to save the changes into it. At the same time all settings are saved into the file CS Admin Kit in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\<user_account>\Application Data\Microsoft\MMC\.
1. Click Start, click Run, type CMD in the Open box, and then click OK
2. Type the following commands at the command prompt, where C:\Windows is the folder that Windows is installed in, and then press ENTER:
3. Restart the computer.
If the given resolution did not rectify the problem, manually delete the file CS Admin Kit in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\<user_account>\Application Data\Microsoft\MMC\. All settings of the Console will be deleted (information about client computers, groups and tasks and policies will be saved).
