This course describes network protection in the sense of direct protection of workstations and servers. Filtering information at the network inputs and outputs—so-called perimeter—is described in perimeter protection product courses.
Managing network protection in this context means managing multiple similar anti-viruses which are, if not simple, at least familiar in use. Complication generally arises from the scale, not from complexity of protection. Essentially, this is just “multiplication” of a separate anti-virus control task by the number of protected computers.
