The error message “database is corrupted” which is displayed when downloading the Anti-Virus can be connected either with the fact that the service file kavset.xml is corrupted/ missing or with a problem in the MSXML system library.
To rectify the problem, update the anti-virus databases. If you update from a local source (but not from the Kaspersky Lab server), check if the databases located on this source are correct before starting the task. If the update error is reproduced again after the update, register the library msxml3.dll the following way:
1. go to Start > Run
2. in the open window in the Open field enter
regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\msxml3.dll
and click OK
If registration of the library succeeded you will get the following message:

3. run the update task once again.
If having registered msxml3.xml and having updated the databases the message does not disappear, enable Service and Updater tracing, start the update task again and send tracing logs to Kaspersky Lab.
How to get tracing files?
