Certification

To receive the status of an anti-virus security specialist an applicant needs to pass one or several (depending upon the target status) certification exams. Exams are held separately from the training courses, you can take them at the Authorized Testing Centres of Kaspersky Lab.

Although taking the courses is not required to pass an exam, you are strongly recommended to do so before certification.

Certification of IT specialists in the sphere of anti-virus protection results in assignment of the following statuses:

Kaspersky Lab Personal Security Professional
Status is given to users who have mastered completely the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for anti-virus protection of a personal computer using software products of Kaspersky Lab and successfully passed the KL PSP exam	KL PSP	Kaspersky Lab Personal Security Professional
Kaspersky Lab Data-Security Technician
Technical specialists who have demonstrated profound knowledge of installation and support of the anti-virus products offered by Kaspersky Lab within specific areas of corporate LAN can receive the status of Kaspersky Lab Data-Security Technician (KL DST)	KL DST LAN Windows	Kaspersky Lab Data-Security Technician LAN Windows

Kaspersky Lab Data-Security Professional
The status of Kaspersky Lab Data-Security Professional (KL DSP) is granted to the anti-virus security specialists who have learned entirely the methods required for creation and maintenance of whole levels of a Comprehensive System of Anti-Virus Protection (CSAVP)	KL DSP Windows	Kaspersky Lab Data-Security Professional Windows

Kaspersky Lab Certified Trainer
The KL CT status is granted individually for each of the training programs of Kaspersky Lab; it allows teaching of the corresponding course. A mandatory condition for the status of an Authorized Training Centre of Kaspersky Lab provided to a training Centre is the presence of at least one Certified Trainer among their staff members	KL CT	Kaspersky Lab Certified Trainer

You have to pass an exam to receive any of the above statuses. Taking the corresponding training course is not required.
