Kaspersky Security 10 Service Pack 1 for Mobile has been released on February 26, 2015. Full version numbers:

  • Android devices: 10.5.11.5773
  • Kaspersky Endpoint Security management plug-in: 10.5.111.454
  • Kaspersky Mobile Device Management plug-in: 10.5.111.492

Improvements

Kaspersky Security 10 Service Pack 1 for Mobile implements the following features:

  • Support of user certificates on mobile devices for user identification in Kaspersky Security Center and improved security when connecting to Administration Server.
  • Support of sending commands from Kaspersky Security Center for protection against unauthorized use in case the device is lost or stolen. 
  • Support of Self Service Portal that can be used for connection to Kaspersky Security Center and managing the device with special commands. 
  • Support of new access right control system that protects Kaspersky Security 10 for Mobile functions in Kaspersky Security Center Administration Console.
  • Managing mobile devices over the Exchange ActiveSync protocol.

For Android devices: 

  • Limitations for system applications.
  • Limit of access to all websites except for those listed in the policy. 
  • Support of the operating system Android version 5.0
  • Support of Google Cloud Messaging
  • Managing Samsung devices that support KNOX 1 and KNOX 2

For iOS devices:

  • Configuring iOS devices.
  • Device management over the iOS MDM protocol.

For Windows devices: 

  • Support of the location detection command sent from Kaspersky Security Center.

Discontinued support

The following mobile platforms are no longer supported:

  • Windows Mobile
  • Symbian
  • BlackBerry

Fixes

The folowing issues have been fixed:

  • Notifications about the necessary installation of Kaspersky Security 10 for Mobile are not displayed if containers are used on the devices.
  • To notify the user of the password non-conformity with the enterprise password complexity requirements, enable the password length control on the Conformity control tab.
  • On repeated use of the Anti-Theft blocking function from Android 2.3.х devices, two synchronizations with the Administration Server are required. After a single synchronization, the function will not be applied.
  • Over 400 other issues of various severity.
