Kaspersky Security 10 for Mobile Service Pack 2 Maintenance Release 2 was released on June 23, 2017.
The release includes:
- Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android (version number 10.6.2.1108)
- Administration plug-in for Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Mobile SP2 MR2 (version number 10.6.2.270)
- Administration plug-in for Kaspersky Mobile Device Management 10 SP2 MR2 (version number 10.6.2.177)
What's new
- Updated interface of the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android mobile application, including the main window, scan window and anti-virus database update window, and Status section containing a list of issues and information about the device.
- Simplified procedure of obtaining the permissions required for Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android to work correctly on devices running Android 6.0 and later.
- The device does not lock when the Locate Device and Alarm commands are executed. Commands can be sent using Kaspersky Security Center 10 SP2 MR1 or Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud.
- Simplified procedure for adding a general certificate when installing third-party apps on Android devices using standalone packages in Kaspersky Security Center.
- Added setting for displaying the status of an Android device in Kaspersky Security Center (Policy properties → Device information).
- Optimized procedure for updating anti-virus databases when an Android device is periodically disconnected from the Internet.
- Optimized procedure for synchronizing with Kaspersky Security Center or Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud when an Android device is periodically disconnected from the Internet.
- You can change the length of the password used for unlocking an Android device that has been locked using the Anti-Theft component (Policy properties → Anti-Theft→ One-time device unlock code → One-time password length → 4, 8, 12 or 16 characters).
- The Email, Wi-Fi, and VPN sections have been updated in the policy for iOS MDM devices in accordance with the updated iOS MDM protocol.
- You can configure the cellular communication settings for iOS MDM devices (Policy properties → Cellular communications).
- You can configure how the name of an Android device is displayed in Kaspersky Security Center (Policy properties → Device information → Device name in Kaspersky Security Center → Email, IMEI or Email (if available) or IMEI).
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) support for connecting Android devices to Kaspersky Security Center or Kaspersky Endpoint Security Cloud.
- The Third-party apps section has been removed from Kaspersky Endpoint Security 10 for Mobile policy properties. You cannot configure the settings of third-party apps in Kaspersky Security Center.
- You can manage the display of Kaspersky Security Center synchronization settings on Android devices (Policy properties → Synchronization → Show synchronization settings on device).
- Support for executing the Alarm command in Do not disturb mode on devices running Android 7.0 or later.
- The size of the Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Android installation package has been reduced.
