During the installation of a Kaspersky Lab product, you may encounter an error caused by the presence of malware that blocks the installation of antivirus software on your computer. A majority of the time the problem is caused by remnants of Kaspersky, and there is no actual infection on the computer.

We recommend that you follow the steps below in order and check if the issue is resolved after each method attempted.

  • Run the Kaspersky Removal Tool in Safe Mode.
  • Run the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool.
  • Run the TDSSKiller utility
  • Run the Kaspersky Rescue Disk
