Error establishing an HTTPS connection with the Kaspersky server

Cause

Incorrect proxy server settings saved in the Windows operating system.

Solution

  1. Make sure that you have the latest version of a Kaspersky application installed.
  2. Press The Windows key on the keyboard+R on the keyboard.
  3. Type inetcpl.cpl and click OK.

  1. Go to the Connections tab and click LAN settings.

  1. In the Local Area Network (LAN) Settings window, clear the Automatically detect settings and Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections) checkboxes.
  2. Click ОК.

Disabling a proxy server

  1. Go to the Advanced tab and click Restore advanced settings → Apply.
  2. Click ОК.

Restoring advanced settings

  1. Reboot the computer.
  2. Try installing or activating a Kaspersky application once again.

The proxy server will no longer be used by the browser and operating system.
