1. Questions concerning registration in My Kaspersky Account

01. What is My Kaspersky Account? Why do I need it?

My Kaspersky Account is the service which allows you to:

  • manage your requests to Virus Lab and Technical Support Service
  • manage your activation codes and change your personal data (this is required to create requests to Technical Support Service)
  • subscribe to news delivery
  • choose online courses which help you to protect your computer effectively from different types of threats using Kaspersky Lab products

02. Why do I need an account in My Kaspersky Account, if I have already registered a Personal Cabinet account?

My Kaspersky Account is our new service for making support requests and activation code recovery easy. If you are registered in My Kaspersky Account, you can use not only new options, but also all the options from the Personal Cabinet. It is recommended to create an account in My Kaspersky Account even if you are registered in Personal Cabinet, because the Personal Cabinet service will be closed in the future. You can enter your account in My Kaspersky Account entering your registered e-mail and password on the main page of the service which you can open from the interface of Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for File Server or using the address https://my.kaspersky.com.

03. How to open the My Kaspersky Account page?

You can open the My Kaspersky Account page using one of the following methods:

  • use the address https://my.kaspersky.com
  • from Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 interface by clicking the link My Kaspersky Account in the left lower corner of the main application window:

04. How to register in My Kaspersky Account?

In order to use My Kaspersky Account, you need to register for it. The registration process includes two steps:

In order to register a new account in My Kaspersky Account, click the link My Kaspersky Account in the main window of your Kaspersky Lab product or open the page https://my.kaspersky.com in your browser.

In order to create a new account, you need to fill in the registration form:

  1. enter Email. Make sure the necessary information has been entered correctly or the registration will not be available.
  2. enter Password. You are recommended to use numbers, symbols and letters of different cases.
  3. to exclude mistyping enter your password again in the Confirm password field
  4. enter numbers and letters from the picture
  5. click the Create My Kaspersky Account button.

You will not be able to enter My Kaspersky Account immediately after you registered. You need to activate your account. In order to finish the registration, click the link in the message which was sent to your email.

InformationIf you do not activate your account in 5 days from the day of creating your account, then your registration data will be deleted from the server. To register in My Kaspersky Account, you will need to create a new account.

When you click the link, the page with your personal information will open. Fill in the suggested fields:

The Country and Region field is mandatory to be filled in. The field is required to provide technical support on your language.

After you filled in the fields containing your contact information, click the Apply button to save the changes:

After the registration you will enter My Kaspersky Account.

05. What should I do if I have not received a confirmation message after registration in My Kaspersky Account?

In some cases a confirmation message from My Kaspersky Account is delivered with a delay.

If you have not received a confirmation message from My Kaspersky Account, perform the following actions:

06. I have lost my password to enter My Kaspersky Account. What should I do?

If you have lost your password to enter My Kaspersky Account for any reason, perform the following actions:

In order to receive a message with your password enter in the Enter E-mail or login field the e-mail address you entered during the registration in My Kaspersky Account, enter the numbers or letters form the displayed picture and click the Apply button:

If you specified your e-mail address, then a link to the page of password change to enter My Kaspersky Account will be sent to the specified e-mail address.

If you specified your login to enter My Kaspersky Account, perform the following actions:

  1. type answer to your secret question
  2. enter your new password
  3. enter your new password once again to confirm it
  4. click Apply

2. Questions concerning managing My Kaspersky Account

07. Can I change my personal data in My Kaspersky Account?

You can enter and edit your personal information which you specified during the registration in My Kaspersky Account. In order to edit your personal information in customer profile, select from the menu the item Customer profile in the Manage Your personal data submenu:

 

Edit the required fields and click the Apply button to save the changes:

08. How to change my login to enter My Kaspersky Account?

In order to change your e-mail address, enter My Kaspersky Account and select from the menu the item Change login to enter My Kaspersky Account in the Manage your personal data submenu:

Enter a new login in the Enter a new login field and click the Apply button to save changes:

  • If you specify a new e-mail address as your bew login, then a message will be sent to the new e-mail address. You need to click the link from the message to enter My Kaspersky Account and confirm the changes.
  • If enter now an e-mail address, then the dialog window with the recommendations to use an e-mail as a login will appear on the screem. If you use not an e-mail as a login to enter My Kaspersky Account, you will not be able to receive copies of Kaspersky Lab experts answers and restore your password in case of loss:
    • if you agree with the restrictions, check the I agree box and then click the Apply button

    • select a secret question which is required to restore your password
    • specify the answer to the secret question
    • click the Apply button.

09. How to change my password to enter My Kaspersky Account?

You can change your password to enter My Kaspersky Account if it is required. In order to change the password, enter My Kaspersky Account and select the Change password item from the submenu Manage your personal data:

In the corresponding fields enter your current password and a new password (a new password is entered in two corresponding fields to exclude mistyping). In order to confirm the changes click the button Save the new password:

10. How to delete my account from the My Kaspersky Account service?

If you want to stop using your account in the My Kaspersky Account service, you can delete your account.

InformationAfter the account is deleted, all your personal data will be deleted from Kaspersky Lab servers!

 

In order to delete your account from the My Kaspersky Account service, perform the following actions:

  1. enter My Kaspersky Account
  2. in the left part of the window select the Delete Account item from the Manage your personal data submenu
  3. fill in the deletion form:
    • Your login
    • Enter your password
  4. check the box I have read the statement above and agree to delete my account permanently. If the box is not checked, the account will NOT be deleted
  5. click the Apply button
  6. After the account is deleted, the message The account and all the data are successfully deleted will appear.

After you perform the actions described above, you will not be able to enter My Kaspersky Account using the deleted account.

3. Questions concerning to managing activation codes in My Kaspersky Account

11. What is an activation code? How can I get it?

An activation code is a unique set of characters that comes in blocks, separated by a hyphen (-). Each block comprises of 5 characters which can be a combination of letters and numbers, which comes to a total of 20 characters. An activation code is required to activate a Kaspersky Lab product. 

The activation code for all box versions or products bought from retail stores can be found printed on the CD sleeve. European box products have the code on the Quick Start Guide which is included in the box.

If you have purchased Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer via E-Store, the activation code will be sent to you via e-mail you have specified when making the order.

12. How to add a new activation code to My Kaspersky Account?

You can add an activation code for Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer in use to My Kaspersky Account.

InformationActivation codes added to My Kaspersky Account should be valid. Expired or "blacklisted" activation codes cannot be added to My Kaspersky Account.

In order to add a new activation code perform the following actions:

  • enter My Kaspersky Account
  • select Manage activation codes from the left menu:

  • enter an activation code you would like to add to My Kaspersky Account and click the Add code button:

 

  • after you have successfully add an activation code to My Kaspersky Account, you can see the list of registered activation codes.

Once an activation code is added to My Kaspersky Account, you can perform the following:

  • create requests to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support for specific license;
  • identify info about activation date and license expiry date, license number and your Kaspersky Lab product full name;
  • go to the License Renewal Center from My Kaspersky Account and renew your license without entering your current license number.

13. How to remove an activation code from My Kaspersky Account?

On the Manage activation codes page you can find the list of registered activation codes, the activation date and the product for which the activation code is assigned.

Also on the page you can remove your activation code. It can be required if your activation code has expired or you have given your product with your activation code to friends or relatives. In order a new user can add that activation code to My Kaspersky Account, you need to remove it from your account.

InformationIf you have bought the activation code for two or more computers, then the same activation code can be added to the particular number of accounts corresponding to the number of computers for which the activation code can be used according to the license.

In order to remove your activation code from My Kaspersky Account, click the Detach link on the Manage activation codes tab in the Activation code column next to the activation code you would like to remove:

 

In order to confirm that you want to remove the activation code, check the I agree box and click the Remove this activation code button:

4. Questions concerning creating requests to Technical Support Service and Virus Lab

14. How to create a request to Technical Support Service?

In order to create a request to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support Service, perform the following actions:

 

WarningIf an activation code is attached to My Kaspersky Account, the list of request types contains more items.

Once the request is submitted, your request number is displayed. All further contacts with Kaspersky Lab Technical Support experts will be made via My Kaspersky Account.

15. Correspondence on demand with Technical Support Service

Once you have sent a request to Technical Support Service, you will correspond with Kaspersky Lab experts via My Kaspersky Account in the Your requests menu.

17. How to send a request concerning Anti-Banner work?

The My Kaspersky Account service includes the possibility to create requests concerning Anti-Banner work. In case if Anti-Banner from your Kaspersky Lab product does not block a banner or parts of a web site are false detected as a banner, inform about it Kaspersky Lab experts by creating a request.
