How to find out the antivirus database release date in Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0.4.x

  • Kaspersky Administration Kit 8.0
  • In order to find out the antivirus database release data and the number of signatures it currently contains:

    On local host

    • Open the main application window
    • Select Update in the left menu.



      This image has been taken from Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Workstations version 6.0.4.x. In Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Servers version 6.0.4.x and Kaspersky Anti-Virus SOS version 6.0.4.x the Threat types list contains Malware only.

      An antivirus database set includes:

    • In Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Workstations version 6.0.4.x:
      • Malware – virus and other malware signatures for the File Anti-Virus and Mail Anti-Virus components.
      • Banners – URL masks for the Anti-Banner component.
      • Phishing sites – fraud websites addresses for the Web Anti-Virus component.
      • Spam – mail spam samples for the Anti-Spam component.
      • Malicious scripts – stream signatures for the Web Anti-Virus component.
      • Network attacks (IDS bases) – network attacks databases for the Anti-Hacker component.

        Antivirus databases are downloaded for installed components only.

    • In Kaspersky Anti-Virus SOS version 6.0.4.x:

      • Malware – virus and other malware signatures for the Scan / Full scan / Fast scan functions.

    • In Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Windows Servers version 6.0.4.x:

      • Malware – virus and other malware signatures for the File Anti-Virus component.

    Using Kaspersky Administration Kit 8.0

    • Expand the Reports and notifications node in the Administration console.
    • Select the Anti-Virus database usage report.



    • The columns Database date and Number of records contain the last database update download date and the total number of Malware signatures present on the host, correspondingly.

      The set of downloaded antivirus databases is defined in the update download task properties, tab Properties, section Updates list.
