I cannot connect to remote desktop of computer with Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer installed on it. What should I do?

Applies to Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer

In some cases it is not possible to connect to a computer with Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer installed on it via Remote Desktop. However, if Firewall in Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer is disabled the connection becomes available.

In order to resolve the problem, perform the following actions:

  1. open the main application window
  2. in the right upper corner of the window, click on the Settings link
  3. in the upper part of the Settings window, select Protection
  4. in the left part of the Settings window, select the Firewall item
  5. make sure that the Enable Firewall box is checked
  6. click on the Settings... button
  7. in the Firewall window on the Filtering rules tab, double-click the Packet rules folder
  8. find Remote Desktop in the list that will open
  9. right-click the Deny icon in the Action column
  10. select Allow from the menu that will open
  11. in the right lower corner of the window, click on the OK button
  12. in the right lower corner of the Settings window, click on the OK button
  13. close the main application window.
