You can use an existing not expired key file from an older version to activate Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows.
When Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows installer detects one of the above listed applications on a computer, it removes the detected application and saves its settings. No reboot is required after that. Then it installs Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows and imports the saved settings from the old version. Reboot is required to apply the changes once the installation is complete.
Quarantine and backup content is not saved during upgrade.
If an error occurs when updating a previous version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus, e.g. when deleting a previous network driver version, it is recommended to use the kavremover.exe utility.
