We recommend all customers use the latest version of Kaspersky PURE 3.0 as it includes hundreds of bug fixes and performance enhancements.
If you have a current license for a previous version of Kaspersky PURE that is still active, you can upgrade for free.
The removal process will prompt you to Save Application Objects. We suggest saving the Activation Data, Encrypted Containers, and Password Manager databases, which will be picked up by the new version.
Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation and reboot your computer.
The web browser will then ask you where to save the file. Use the drop-down menu to select your Desktop, then click Save. Download speeds will vary depending on your Internet connection, but could take from a few minutes to a half hour.
When the download completes, click Run.
The Setup Wizard will open, click Install.
The Kaspersky Security Network allows us to detect and collect new viruses based on their behavior as well as non-personal data about how you use our software. The Kaspersky Security Network does not collect or process any personal information.
At the end of this step, the Windows Firewall will be disabled. Kaspersky PURE 3.0 includes a full-featured Firewall.
You may see a notification from the Windows Security Center that there are problems while Kaspersky is still being installed. This is normal and will automatically resolve itself after the process completes.
The wizard will then check the built-into-Windows programs and set levels for each in the Application Control feature.
If it does not, you will be prompted to activate a commercial (retail) license. Enter your 20 character activation code, which is four sets of five characters, or XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX. The wizard will automatically capitalize letters and move to the next box. Click Next.
Click Finish to begin using Kaspersky PURE 3.0.
