­­­ Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Smartphone can be deployed via Kaspersky Administration Kit 8.

It is essential that the Mobile devices support box is checked when installing Kaspersky Administration Kit. This component provides the means to manage mobile devices protection via Kaspersky Administration Kit. When installing the component Support for mobile devices, the Administration Server for mobile devices certificate is created. This is used for authentication of the mobile devices when exchanging data with the Administration Server.

Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Smartphone is managed via policies. A policy is a type of a configuration for an application.

Mobile devices interact with the Administration server during a synchronization. Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Smartphone does not require a Network agent installed on a mobile device for synchronization.

The data exchange between the mobile devices and the Administration server goes over Internet.

The Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Smartphone deployment scheme depends on the selected method of installing the application on mobile devices. The following installation modes are available:

  • From workstations used for connecting the mobile devices;
  • By an email containing an application distribution package/download link;
