When the trial key expires Kaspersky Anti-Virus downloads but does not filter the mail traffic.
The users of trial key files have the right for limited technical support provided by Kaspersky Lab by filling in the HelpDesk form only.
Once received, the key file should be saved on a separate drive (disc, flash, CD) to be restored when needed.
Do not lose the key file as Kaspersky Anti-Virus does not filter the mail traffic without it.
To know what trial key file is installed, on the server console run the following command:
tell kavmailmonitor keyinfo
To add a new key file, on the server console run the commands:
tell kavmailmonitor quit
load kavmailmonitor [PATH_TO_KEY],
where [PATH_TO_KEY] – is the exact path to the file.
You can install two keys: active and reserve. Active key is the key installed at the moment and which provides the application full functionality. Only one key with the active status can be installed at a time. The reserve key is activated automatically once the active key expires.
To install a reserve key run the command:
tell kavmailmonitor addreservekey [PATH_TO_KEY], where [PATH_TO_KEY] is the exact path to the reserve file.
