Concerning Computer relocation rules

ID Article: 8939    Other languages:  Polski  Русский  English      Views for 7 days 3    Last modified on 17.07.2012 12:37 Printable version

Applies to Kaspersky Security Center 9

When creating or editing a Computer relocation rule, you have the following execution conditions to choose from:

  • Condition 1. Run once for each computer.

In this case, the rule will be applied to each host just once.

In case there are several Condition 1 rules applicable to a given host, the topmost one gets applied.

In case there is also a Condition 3 rule for that host, the Condition 3 rule will be applied regardless of its position on the list.

  • Condition 2. Run once for each computer, then at every Network agent reinstallation on computer.

The rule will be applied once to each host, and then again each time the Network agent gets installed on it.

  • Condition 3. Rule works permanently.

The host will be under the rule permanently.

In case the host had been relocated by a Condition 3 rule which has been disabled afterwards, the host may come under lower Condition 3 rules only. No Condition 1 or 2 rules will be applied to that host.

Information It is not recommended to create Condition 3 rules. Such rules get executed for each host (meeting its conditions) again and again raising KAV database server load. Kasperskу Eventlog in this case registers a Processing HEAVY rule '%1' event.

Whenever a host which has been deleted from the Managed computers or Unassigned computers node gets detected again, it comes under the first suitable rule on the list.

Relocation rules do not function with clusters.
