After installation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011, t is recommended to start your computer Full Scan.

InformationFull Scan may impact on your computer performance. Therefore, Kaspersky Lab specialists recommends to close all launched applications before performing Full Scan.

During Full Scan Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 by default scans the following objects:

  • system memory
  • startup objects
  • system backup storages
  • all hard disks
  • all removable disks

InformationIf some hard or removable disks containing much data are connected to your computer. Full Scan may take some hours.

 

Full scan can be started in one of the following ways: 

In order to start the full scan task from the main application window, do the following: 

  1. open the main window
  2. in the left part of the main application window, select Scan
  3. in the right part of the main application window, click the button Run Full Scan

The information when the task was stopped or completed is displayed in the main application window of Kaspersky Internet Security 2011. The time reference is a link which leads to the Full Scan window.

The same information when the task was stopped or completed is displayed in the Full Scan window. The time reference is a link which leads to the detailed report window.

The detailed report contains the information when the full scan task was started, stopped or completed and the list of detected threats with the link to the threat description.
