How to disable quarantine rescan after update in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2012?

Quarantine is a special storage area that holds objects potentially infected with viruses.

Potentially infected objects are objects that are suspected of being infected with viruses or modifications of them.

By default quarantine is scanned after each anti-virus databases update. To disable scan of the quarantine, perform the following: 

  1. open the main application window
  2. on the upper right hand part of the main application window, click Settings
  3. on the upper left hand part of the Settings window, select Update
  4. on the right hand part of the Settings window in the Additional section, clear the box Rescan quarantine after update
  5. on the bottom of the Settings window, click OK
  6. close the main application window.
