Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X)

1. What is an activation code?

An activation code is a unique set of characters that comes in 4 blocks of 5, separated by a hyphen(-). Each block comprises of 5 characters which can be a combination of letters and numbers, which comes to a total of 20 characters (XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX). An activation code is required to activate a Kaspersky Lab product, which you have purchased via E-Store.

Activation codes for Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X) are not compatible with other Kaspersky Lab products.

2. Application box versions

The activation code for all box versions or products bought from retail stores can be found printed on the CD sleeve. European box products will have the code on the Quick Start Guide which is included in the box.

4. Application purchased via E-Store

If you have purchased Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X) via E-Store, the activation code will be sent to you via e-mail you have specified when making the order.

5. Activation code validity period

An unused activation code can be activated at any time, but the license will begin to expire on the day of initial activation.

This information does not refer to trial activation codes which go on CD-disks in magazines. Validity period of trial activation codes is restricted.

If you have purchased Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X), but you do not have an activation code to activate the application, then you can purchase a license in E-Store or from our partners.

6. I have forgotten/deleted my activation code. What should I do?

If you deleted your activation code by mistake, then to restore the key file send description of the problem, information about the place, date of purchase and the LICENSE NUMBER (0XXX-000XXX-000XXXX) to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support by filling in the My Kaspersky Account service.

If Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X) was installed and activated, but an activation code was deleted from a computer or a portable data medium, then you can find a license number by opening the main application window and then clicking the License link. In the right part of the window you will find information about your license, which you need to mention to recover your activation code.

If you bought a Kaspersky Lab product via the Internet, then you need to provide online purchase order number from the confirmation letter, wich was sent after you bought your application.
