How to upgrade Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X) to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac correctly?

Applies to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac

If Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X) is installed on your computer and you wish to upgrade it to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac, then perform the following actions:

  1. download the distributive of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac from the official Kaspersky Lab server
  2. download the archive that contains the uninstallation tool for Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X)
  3. unpack the archive by double-clicking it
  4. uninstall Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac using uninstallation tool (license data will not be deleted)
  5. start the installation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac by double-clicking the downloaded file
  6. follw the Setup Wizard instructions
  7. activate Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac if the license data has not been saved during uninstallation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X).
