Applies to:
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 for Mac
Kaspersky Anti-Virus (Mac OS X)
When a commercial activation code expires (this type of code is valid a year or more), the application will continue functioning in its full volume, but it will not be able to download new databases of known threats (anti-virus, etc.). Automatic databases update from the Kaspersky Lab site will not be available, the application will continue to disinfect infected objects / filter spam, but with the databases which were downloaded on the last day of your activation code validity. Even if you manage to download the databases manually and try to install these to the product, the product will stop functioning at all.
You cannot prolong the license validity period of a commercial activation code by adding a trial activation code. No trial activation code can be added to the product once a commercial activation code was used.
When a trial activation code expires (a trial activation code is valid as a rule 1 month) the application stops functioning.
You cannot use two or more trial activation codes on your computer as the validity period of another trial activation code will not either overlap or prolong the license validity period of the first trial activation code.
In order to restore the product’s functionality when any activation code has expired you should simply activate the product with a new commercial activation code. You do not have to reinstall the application.
