Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows (for File Servers)
Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows allows pausing the protection, i.e. disable all the protection components for a while.
Pausing/resuming the protection and control does not affect the scanand update tasks. If a network connection was established at the same moment as you paused/resumed the protection, a disconnect notification will be displayed.
Pausing the protection and control
Right-click Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows system tray icon.
Select the Pause protection option.
A dialogue box will open.
Select an option:
Pause for the specified time – the protection and control will pause for a period of time indicated in the drop-down menu.
Pause until restart – the protection and control will resume after rebooting the system or restarting the application. Application autorun should be enabled.
Pause – you will have to resume the protection and control manually.
Regardless of the selected option, you can resume the protection and control manually at any time.
If application settings are password-protected, you have to enter the password to pause the protection.
Resuming the protection and control
Right-click Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8 for Windows system tray icon.
